A Day In The Life Of An Internet Marketer

I live on Australia's Gold Coast, in a little suburb called Mermaid Beach. Its a lovely, sunny place to live, almost like a large country town. Not too big that you get caught up in the crazy pace of big city life and forget to take in all the blessings that come to you every day. Not too small that you miss out on the cosmopolitan conveniences that come with population centers.

At the moment we are expecting a baby, which has been a surprise, albeit one that has brought us even closer to one another. Sitting there at home observing my pregnant partner snooze on the couch, I was all of a sudden overcome by gratitude, a feeling that I am so lucky to be living the life I have created for myself. I no longer have to commute to work: I get to spend my days at home thanks to the internet business I run.

Instead of having to wake up for the early morning commute, I get to pop out of bed whenever it is that my body decides it has slept enough. This is followed by a short stroll down to the beach (just outside my front door) for a good surf session. Once my body decides that it has had enough of that too, I go catch a coffee from the cafe just right up the road from home and then sit down. For the next few hours, I manage my sites, writing articles similar in nature to the one which you are reading at present. Through this constant process of optimization of my websites I help guarantee that in the future as at present, I will not have to go work at an office but will remain my own employer.

Then around lunch time, the postman will ride by. This always fills me with excitement as he often delivers the checks that make the website business so rewarding. I really am lucky.

And I know why I am lucky too. Its because I learned the skills required to sell products and services on the internet. Goodness knows I can't sell in the physical world, I don't have thick enough skin for the constant rejection. But I can sell on the internet.

I can sell on the internet because I learned the internet marketing skills and techniques that turn websites into cash-flow machines. I learned from the masters of the day and continue to upgrade my skills whenever I can. There is no room for complacency in internet marketing!

In the end, I find it impossible to comprehend how people complain about their jobs so much yet do nothing to change their set of skills or their line of work, to turn their passion into a career. The only things one needs to do so are equal measures of planning, commitment, and hard work to make it all happen. Aah, now I see the reason, it's just like Thomas Edison said:

"Opportunity is missed by most people because it is dressed in overalls and looks like work.
